What to expect

10am Sunday Mornings - Family service
When you come along to church on Sunday mornings, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable. Sunday mornings are relaxed and typically include:

  • Teaching from the Bible (approx. 25minutes long)
  • Prayer
  • Singing
  • Morning tea and catch up after the service

Everyone, of all ages and backgrounds are welcome. We have a Sunday school program that runs  during the service and allows children to grow in Jesus through a Bible talk, craft and games.

If you have never been to church before, and are concerned about coming along, we simply say- come as you are! (Most of our regulars dress smart casual). Your level of participation in the different aspects of the service is entirely up to you and if you are nervous about what to do, feel free to sit up the back and copy everyone else. We celebrate and participate in communion together once a month to reflect upon and give thanks for Jesus's death on the cross for all our sins. If you feel uncomfortable participating in this, you are more than welcome to just stay seated and observe.

From time to time we combine with St Johns Presbyterian for January services, Autumn Harvest, and Spring Thanksgiving Services. Good Friday is combined with all the churches in town, and we have a combined Christmas Carols on an evening close to Christmas too.

6pm Sunday Evenings - feed. (Commencing the 3rd of July 2016)

feed. is our Sunday evening church that is laid back and casual, and provides everyone with the opportunity to feed their bodies and their souls. A typical feed. evening includes:

  • Nibbles and chat
  • Dinner
  • Short talk exploring the Christian faith
  • Video presentation
  • Open discussion

Anyone and everyone is welcome, whether you are just visiting town, working seasonally in the snow sports industry, or you are a local to Methven. Come as you are, engage in conversation or just sit back and listen - whatever you are comfortable with.
